Francisco Morejón is the Vice-President of Oxbridge-AIx and Oxbridge AI Challenge where he is helping run the annual AI startup pitch competition between the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge. His master's research at the University of Oxford was an exploratory study on skills and knowledge in the face of the climate crisis and the rise of new digital technologies. Prior to coming to Oxford, Francisco Founded the Quito Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences (QILAS), a micro-liberal arts college in Quito-Ecuador. He was also Director of Bocavaldivia Foundation, a large-scale conservation project set out to create a 2,000-hectare bio-corridor on the coast of Ecuador. He received his honours bachelor's degree at University College Maastricht and at the University of California at Berkeley. He was awarded a distinction in his Masters at the Institute of Education at University College London. His passion for AI entrepreneurship was further ignited when he joined, as sponsorship lead, the Oxford Artificial Intelligence Society. Now he is committed to supporting innovative startups from Oxford and Cambridge AI entrepreneurs, and focusing on how to keep leveraging on artificial intelligence to tackle climate change.
